Designing AI agents
A live SkillForge course, ready to pilot. No code. Last updated 30 October 2026.
This course is for people planning an AI assistant or agent: how to design one that the people responsible for privacy, security and risk can sign off. It does not ask you to write code. SkillForge NZ (also called SkillForge) is based in Auckland and works with organisations, schools and individual learners in New Zealand, and with others by email and online.
Who it is for
It is for the person shaping the idea, and for the colleagues who have to be comfortable with it, including people in privacy, security and risk. It is not a programming course. If your people use AI tools in their own jobs and you want them to practise what is fine, what is risky, and who to ask, start with Using AI safely at work.
What people practise
People make realistic choices about the design, see what happens and get feedback, in a place where mistakes are safe. The point of those choices is a design that the people responsible for privacy, security and risk can sign off. The scenes themselves are shown in a walkthrough, not on this page.
They finish with a record of that learning that they can share with you. The record is a record of learning, not a qualification, and the course is not legal advice.
How a team takes it
- Nothing to install, and no account to create. It works offline, including on a laptop or a phone.
- You share it in whatever way already suits your learners. It can sit on its own or next to training you already have.
- Learners need no account. Progress stays with them until they choose to share it, and the course sends nothing anywhere while they learn.
Read private by design on the home page, and the privacy notice for this website.
What this course is not
It does not build the agent for you, and it does not claim that a design will be approved. It gives people a way to practise the design decisions before anyone commits. It is one live course. Other subjects are tailored with you, not offered here as ready-made courses. See Tailored to your context on the home page.
Start with a walkthrough or a small pilot
We can walk you through the course online, or set up a small pilot with one team. Tell us who the learning is for and what you would like people to be able to do. No obligation.
Or ask about a pilot. Email hello@skillforge.nz.
